Dr Berne is very concerned with the health and wellbeing of his patients and the foundation of his philosophy is a holistic approach to dentistry based on the connection between oral and overall health.

He is an approved Oral Surgeon under the Health Insurance Act (Australia), and runs a private general practice with a large referral base for oral surgery, implant dentistry and major reconstructive dentistry, head, neck and facial pain, and intravenous sedation. He also provides ongoing dentistry for many of those patients with disabilities in his community, including many with such severe disabilities that regular dentistry has previously become impossible.
