I am a Western Australian and graduated in Medicine from the University of Western Australia. I worked as a junior medical officer and registrar at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital before undertaking my training as a Specialist Physician. My training as a Rheumatologist followed at both SCGH and Royal Perth Hospital.

When my training was completed I undertook a 2 year clinical research fellowship at the Royal Hospital of Rheumatic Diseases in Bath, UK. There I worked with international experts furthering my skills in clinical Rheumatology as well as clinical and scientific research.

I established my private practice at St John of God Hospital, Murdoch in 1997 and since then have striven to provide excellence in Rheumatological care and patient education. I am a Consultant Rheumatologist at Royal Perth Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital. I have been both Head of Department and Director of the Goatcher Clinical Research Unit of the Rheumatology department at Royal Perth Hospital.
